What is BP Factory?
BP is one of the older workshops still trading. It has been building replica Rolex for more than twenty years, which in a market where factories are raided and vanish inside a season makes it close to an institution. Its catalogue is the widest of any single workshop, covering nearly every Rolex line including references the newer factories will not touch.
What BP is not is a super clone house. The top tier workshops pick five or six references and rebuild the movement to match the original architecture. BP works the other way, offering breadth at a price, with movements that are competent rather than cloned. Anyone selling you a BP piece as a one to one super clone is selling it wrongly.
What does BP Factory make best?
Two things, and both play to the same strength.
Diamond and iced out Rolex. This is where BP genuinely leads. Rainbow bezel GMT Master II, diamond bezel Daytona, gem set Datejust in the smaller ladies sizes. Vintage and discontinued references. BP carries Sea Dweller, older Submariner and Datejust variants that the super clone factories skip because the volume is not there. If you want a reference nobody else builds, BP is often the only workshop that builds it.
The chronograph pieces use a 7750 based movement rather than a cloned 4130. That is a real difference in the pusher feel and the sub dial layout, and it is the main thing to know before buying a BP Daytona rather than a Daytona from a Daytona specialist.
Is BP Factory legit, and what tier is it?
BP is a real workshop with real output, so the question is not whether it exists. The question is what tier you are buying, and the honest answer is mid.
On a diamond set piece that tier is fine, because the stones and the setting are what you are paying for and BP does them well. On a plain steel sports reference it is not, because a plain steel sports reference is judged on the movement and the case machining, and there the super clone workshops are simply ahead.
Read a listing carefully. A shop that names BP openly is telling you what you are getting. A shop that lists a BP piece without naming the workshop, at a super clone price, is relying on you not asking.

Our iced out pieces run $1,000 to $1,650, and every figure sits on the product page rather than behind a message. Gem set references sit above plain steel for the obvious reason that the stones and the setting labour cost more than the case does.
Treat a quote far under our band as information about the tier rather than about the seller. Breadth at a low price usually means a stock movement, and on an iced out piece it usually means the stones are glued rather than set.
How to buy a BP piece without a surprise
Three checks, and they hold whoever you buy from.
- Get the workshop named in writing. Before payment, not after. A seller who will not put BP in a message is leaving room to ship something else.
- Ask which movement is inside. On a chronograph the answer should be the 7750 family. If a seller claims a cloned 4130 in a BP case, one of the two claims is wrong.
- Ask for photographs of your actual watch. On a stone set piece this matters more than anywhere else, because setting quality varies between individual pieces in a way that machining does not.
