The Masterpiece line, which Hublot labels MP, is where the brand builds the watches that exist to prove a point. Tourbillons, vertical movements, unusual case architectures and very small production numbers. A single piece here at $1,500, and it deserves an honest explanation of what that means.

Be clear about what a clone of this can be

Genuine MP references are low-volume pieces with movements built specifically for them, and a flying tourbillon is one of the few things in watchmaking that cannot be cheaply approximated. What a clone at this price delivers is the appearance: the case shape, the dial architecture, the visual drama, and a working automatic or hand-wound movement underneath. It is bought for how it looks on the wrist, and anyone telling you it reproduces the genuine movement is not being straight with you.

Judge the case, because the case is the design

MP cases are unusual by definition, often with sapphire panels, exposed structure or non-round geometry. That makes case machining the thing to examine. Look at where different materials meet, at the evenness of any exposed screws, and at whether sapphire elements sit flush in their frames without visible adhesive. Complex cases fail at joins, so photograph the joins.

Why a single piece

The MP line is small in reality, and pretending otherwise with a page of variants would misrepresent both the collection and the genuine range it comes from.

Ships worldwide with a 2 year Reverie Watches warranty. The Big Bang collection holds the mainstream references, and the full range is in the Hublot replica collection.
